Chris Throgmorton has built a career on taking action and guiding others to stay focused on what matters most. From leading more than 150 Marines to directing clinical trial transparency at Neurocrine Biosciences, he has always stepped up to meet each challenge.

As Head of Clinical Transparency at Neurocrine, Chris leads the company’s global

strategy for clinical trial disclosure and compliance with FDAAA 801, EU CTR, and other regulations. His experience across the military, biopharmaceutical, and government-regulated sectors has shaped his direct and effective leadership style.

At Neurocrine, Chris designed and implemented the clinical trial disclosure program, including standard operating procedures, vendor oversight practices, and document management systems such as Smartsheet and SharePoint. He manages adherence to FDA and European requirements and guides executive teams as regulations evolve.

Before this role, Chris served as Program Lead at a large biotechnology company. There, he was responsible for supplier management and performance analytics in regulatory affairs and safety. He oversaw budgets exceeding $50 million, created vendor governance models, and led strategy for more than 15 global drug products. His work helped streamline operations, strengthen audit readiness, and improve reporting consistency.

Chris's leadership roots go back to his time in the U.S. Marine Corps. As a Sergeant and Quality Assurance Safety Observer, he managed Marines and civilian contractors. His unit was the only one on base to pass its annual audit during his tenure, earning him the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal. This experience shaped his commitment to process, accountability, and service.

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Chris supports community efforts by donating to CHOC, serving on the board of Kid Gloves Boxing to mentor youth, and helping veterans transition to civilian life.

Chris earned an MBA from California Lutheran University and a BA from Arizona State University. He enjoys staying active, supporting youth athletics, and reading about biotech policy.

Chris Throgmorton remains dedicated to building systems that work and leading teams with clarity and purpose.
