Chris Penrose is Senior Vice President of AT&T’s IoT Organization. He has responsibility for AT&T’s connected device initiatives, which span several industries including automotive, agriculture, manufacturing, fleet management and tracking, healthcare, energy and consumer electronics. Mr. Penrose’ team leads efforts to connect AT&T’s
wireless network to a host of devices including cars, wearables, mHealth, asset tracking, and smart utilities and sensors. With nearly 25 years of experience with AT&T and its predecessor companies, Mr. Penrose has expertise in strategic planning, new product development, sales, marketing, distribution planning and customer service. Prior to this role, Mr. Penrose was Vice President/General Manager of AT&T Mobility’s South Texas Market, where he had complete P&L responsibility for both wireline and wireless products. He held a similar position with AT&T in Virginia and West Virginia. He has a BS in Marketing and a Masters in Business Administration from Indiana University. He is a member of the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) Wireless Division Board, the Kelley School of Business Advisory Board, and serves as the chair of the Connected Living Board for GSMA. He also serves on the board of the Curing Kids’ Cancer foundation. He lives in Atlanta, GA with his wife Anne and their two children.
