Chris Mcdermott joined OpCapita in March 2007 and is deeply involved with all investments. He is responsible for all aspects of the investment lifecycle with engagement in investment origination, transaction execution and operational implementation of improvement initiatives working closely with the Operating Partners. Chris is also responsible for
the company’s ESG policy and implementation.
Chris spent six years at Lehman Brothers (London) where he was a Director in the UK Investment Banking team responsible for the origination and execution of M&A, LBO and IPO transactions. Prior to that, he worked in the telecommunications industry as a business planner for Nortel Networks (Ottawa).
Chris is a CFA charterholder, has an MBA from London Business School and a BSc in Electrical & Computing Engineering from Queens University, Canada. He speaks French and German.
Chris is Non-Executive Director of Appelrath Cüpper and the Football Pools.
