Chris started his career at Safe Harbor (now Safe Catch), a startup focused on testing contaminants in seafood for the fresh/frozen/CPG retail market. After starting as one of the first Operations Managers, he eventually ended his tenure with the company as Director of Accounts and Marketing, overseeing the company’s most profitable
market (Bay Area) and working directly with some of the largest clients (Safeway, Haggen Markets) and partnership network (Monterey Bay Aquarium, EDF, Dartmouth, Stonybrook University).
Post Safe Harbor, Chris made the switch from building internally to providing external recruiting strategy and support to early-stage venture-backed companies across North America at Nelson and subsequently The Sourcery. In his last role he helped dozens of notable startups scale their teams from Engineering, Product and Design to Operations and Sales, including Coinbase, Sauce Labs, Reflektive, Cobalt Robotics and many more.
Beginning his career at a startup, Chris is empathetic to the myriad of challenges and choices that early-stage founders face daily. As Founder Success Partner, his role is to ensure the Founders in the Katalyst Ventures portfolio have the necessary resources at their disposal to scale their teams and succeed.
When Chris isn’t in the office you can find him in the bleachers at a Giants game, at a local concert venue, playing guitar or snowboarding.
