Chris Heinig is a marine biologist and founder of MER Assessment Corporation, a marine biology consulting firm based in Brunswick, ME which provides much of the environmental monitoring services to federal, state and private entities along the Maine coast. Prior to forming MER, Chris gained
extensive experience farming algae, mussels, European oysters and steelhead trout. He has established oyster hatcheries for clients in France and Morocco, the latter a multi-million dollar venture. Chris received his BSc in biology from Nasson College (magna cum laude).
