Area President, Gallagher Benefit Services, Chris joined the family business as Vice President in 1969, after an assignment in Rio de Janeiro with SVC Ltd. Starting his career with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor in the Bureau of Mediation, Chris gained valuable knowledge of government and bureaucracy, which would serve him well later.
A
third generation owner, he is the grandson of agency founder, Gus M. Gleason. A firm believer in continuing education, Chris graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and the OPM program at Harvard Graduate School of Business. He also holds a Master of Arts in History from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
In 1988, Chris started Gleason Financial Ltd., serving as President.
In February, 2011, Gleason Financial Ltd. merged with Arthur J. Gallagher Benefit Services and Chris is the Area President of Gleason Financial, a division of Gallagher Benefit Services.
Chris is an auto racing professional, who competes throughout Canada, Europe and currently North America with the Grand America Championship.
He has driven several times at the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans and Daytona. Chris has won 15 races and finished on the podium in over 40 events. He and his wife Janet live at Millcreek Valley Farm in Johnstown and have four children, Jennifer, Chris, Meghan and Kevin.
