Chris Dyson is Headteacher of the most deprived Primary School in Leeds. He doesn't, however, use this as an excuse. Parklands School has 82% Pupil Premium Children, they are in the top 5% of schools in the country in reading and writing, and the top 1% of schools in Maths. In October the school was recognised by Ofsted to be an
'Outstanding' School and they were also fortunate to win a National TES Award this year. Three years ago Parkland's had 150 exclusions, saw five Headteachers and were deemed 'Inadequate.' It's amazing what you can achieve with a dream and lots of smiles and love.
