Chris Behrens became the chief executive officer and board director of the Mather Group in 1999. He stepped down from these positions in 2023 and has remained with the Mather Group as an advisor. Since 2024, Chris Behrens has concurrently served as executive chairman and corporate board director with ALTI Financial in New York City. He provides
tactical guidance to ALTI in areas ranging from governance oversight to sustainable growth.
A resident of Greater Chicago, Mr. Behrens earned his bachelor of science in marketing from the University of Illinois Chicago in 1984. Over the next 15 years, he headed sales and marketing operations for Official Airline Guides and GE Financial Assurance in Chicago.
In addition, Mr. Behrens served as president and chief executive officer of ETRAC Corporation and SourceLink. His tech-supported and data-driven management strategies at SourceLink made the company the fourth-largest privately held marketing service business in North America.
