Prior to GPG, Chip was a Deputy Campaign Manager and the Chief Operating Officer for Vice President Al Gore’s 2000 presidential campaign. As a member of the senior strategic team, Chip designed, built and directed the campaign’s day-to-day operations.
From 1996 to 2000, Chip was the Chief of Staff at MCI and an Executive Director of Strategy and
Communications. There he directed internal and external communications as well as overall messaging to Wall Street, industry analysts, media, regulators, customers, shareholders and employees.
Before joining MCI, Chip was an Executive Vice President at Shrum, Devine & Donilon, Inc., a leading political media and public relations consulting firm. There he helped conceive, produce and place media in nine winning U.S. Senate campaigns and seven winning congressional campaigns. Chip began his career as a legislative assistant to Senator Wyche Fowler, Jr.
A native of Atlanta, Chip received a Bachelor of Arts with distinction in American Studies from Colby College, and a Masters in Business Administration from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. He lives with his wife and two children in Washington, D.C.
