Chikahiro Terada was born in 1976. After graduating university, he started work at Mitsui Bussan, and working with the information industry, he was involved in importing computer equipment, developing systems, working with joint ventures. After that, he was transferred to Silicon Valley, and there he dealt with cutting-edge American ventures in
developing business with Japan. After returning to Japan, he sold the database software he brought back from America. After that, he was sent out to security-related companies, and handled the corporate planning and management there. In May, 2007, he left Mitsui Bussan and with four of his friends he started Sansan, Inc. He received the U.S. Ambassador's Award at the Entrepreneurs' Awards Japan, in 2011.
