Mr. Charles (Chas) Ogden is LogiLube’s chief technology officer. He has over a decade of experience in mechanics, engineering, and business. As CTO, Chas is responsible for identifying and/or leading the development of the appropriate technologies for LogiLube’s solutions and for implementing them.
Chas is an innovator. He is credited with
co-conceiving the original LogiLube SmartOil™ solution. His background working as a machinist on small to medium-sized engines influenced his own interest in analyzing oil samples. Together, Chas and Bill (Gillette) created the prototype and then field product, known today as LogiLube SmartOil™.
Research and development, combined with technology, is another of Chas’ responsibilities. He manages a team of data scientists, mathematicians and computer scientists for LogiLube’s research and development projects. He and his team design, test, and manufacture LogiLube’s solutions. He also contributes to the company’s strategic planning for technology, helps to select strategic partners and creates plans for when and how to use new applications and technologies.
Prior to LogiLube, Chas served as an engineer for Logimesh Technologies, LLC where he contributed to the development of an award-winning innovative self-powered engine health system utilizing thermal electric generator (TEG) energy harvesting technology.
Chas earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wyoming College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS).
