Chad Smith, a principal, is a passionate educator who has played a large part in revitalizing the academics and the extracurricular involvement of numerous high schools. After building a successful career for himself as an entrepreneur who founded and operated multiple businesses, Chad had an "aha" moment in which he realized he wanted to
truly make a difference - not just now, but in the future. The perfect way for him to do this was by entering the education sector and helping to influence and shape the minds of the new generation.
Chad Smith became the principal of South Hills High School after years of experience in teaching, administration, coaching and more at other schools (including his own alma mater Tustin High School). At South Hills, similar to what he'd done in his other roles, Chad Smith took on the massive tasks of updating the school's learning models and implementing newer, more comprehensive education programs.
Chad Smith is particularly interested in improving the accessibility and appeal of STEM education to students. As he works towards his Ed.D he is particularly studying what draws students (or repels them) regarding STEM programs.
