Cerys is an accomplished operations and marketing communications leader. She is Vetster's COO, leading all aspects of operations, marketing, marketplace, customer experience, HR and sales for the leading pet health platform and veterinary services marketplace. Under her leadership, the company has expanded into three countries, delivered
triple digit growth, introduced the company's subscription, employer benefit, and as-a-service solutions all while shaping a company with 55% women and 40% in leadership roles.
Prior to joining Vetster, Cerys founded TheGoods.io, a network-based consultancy of strategists to serve tech startups needing experienced resources to accelerate their growth, and was the President & COO at InnerSpace.io a building analytics platform for Fortune 500 companies with global corporate footprints. Under her mandate with InnerSpace, Cerys led the company's marketing, client services and implementation teams, serving the world's premier tech, HR, consulting and aviation brands.
She started her career working with Neptec - a Canadian company that enabled NASA to return to space. Cerys became skilled at navigating the relationships between the technology-provider, NASA, the CSA and the astronauts themselves to best-position Canada’s role in the historic event. This work, led Cerys to build a career working with technology startups seeking international growth including CAE’s Presagis, BTI Systems, NGRAIN, as well as Toronto start-up darlings Freshbooks, Kobo and LEAGUE. She was marketing-department of one at LEAGUE where she launched the brand and the company's vision before the health marketplace was built and subsequently drove the company's marketplace adoption in Toronto, Seattle and Vancouver prior to the company's pivot into corporate health benefits solutions.
At global eReading giant Kobo, Cerys built an international team with localized integrated marketing communications programs across public relations, community relations, partner relations, and digital media. Under her guidance and strategic positioning of the company, Kobo catapulted from Canadian-darling, to global success in her first year. When Mike Serbinis exited Kobo to build his next startup, LEAGUE, Cerys joined the team as VP of Marketing to launch the company. Building its brand, consumer base, digital marketing experience, and Serbinis’ own Think Bigger narrative, LEAGUE’s brand was ideally positioned for a successful $25M USD Series A in less than two years.
Her skills creating compelling corporate narratives, developing ownable thought leadership programs, managing partner relations and integrating marketing programs, are now being used at InnerSpace to develop and capitalize on the emerging indoor location market.
