Carter Emerson has practiced corporate law with the international firm of Kirkland & Ellis LLP for over 30 years in mergers, securities offerings and SEC and corporate governance advice. He joined the firm in 1974, served on its management committee for 16 years and was a partner until 2007 when he became Of Counsel to the firm.
Mr. Emerson
has a finance degree from Miami University and a law degree from Northwestern University. He is also a director of Genesys Works, a non-profit which provides training to underprivileged high school students.
