Carl Simpson has served as a director of the Company since 2006. Carl has more than 40 years of experience in the medical/medical device industry.
He is a co-founder and managing director at Coronis Medical Ventures, an early-stage medical device company incubator. For the last 32 years, Carl has been active as a medical device executive
and entrepreneur, and has served on the board of directors for more than 20 medical device start-up companies.
Carl began his career as a founder of Advanced Cardiovascular Systems, which eventually became part of Guidant Corporation, where he spent 21 years.
Carl received a bachelor’s degree in microbiology from San Jose State University, and graduate degrees in electrical engineering and computer science and an MBA from the University of Santa Clara.
