In Asia since 1997, he started his corporate life in the finance team of Cisco Systems in Asia-Pacifc then launched and managed the operations of Western internet and mobile VC-backed companies from 2002 till 2006 (based in Shanghai). He founded the Shanghai Chapter of MobileMonday (a mobile industry trade association) and started advising
corporations and funds on China investment strategies in 2006. Bruno became the first China employee of Ventech (a US$ 500-Mil Fund) in 2007. Since late 2008, he has been advising Chinese and European firms on cross-border M&A expansion via Shanghaivest, an investment bank advisory firm he co-created. Bruno is also an angel investor in several Chinese startups and a member of the Steering Committee of AngelVest, a pioneering China-based angel organization.
