Bruce Vanderhoff, MD, MBA, has been with OhioHealth since 1996, and has served as senior vice president and chief medical officer since December 2008.
A nationally recognized physician leader, Bruce Vanderhoff is responsible for system-wide initiatives at OhioHealth to transition healthcare delivery through clinical integration with a focus on
value.
Bruce Vanderhoff earned his bachelor's degree and medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and a master's degree in Business Administration from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio. He completed his residency in family medicine at York Hospital in York, Pennsylvania where he was chief resident.
Prior to joining OhioHealth, Bruce Vanderhoff worked in private practice near Akron, Ohio.
A diplomat of the American Board of Family Medicine and a fellow in the American Academy of Family Physicians, Bruce Vanderhoff’s many professional affiliations include the Healthcare Institute, the Health Management Academy, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Ohio State Medical Association and the Columbus Medical Association.
Bruce Vanderhoff is a clinical professor of Family Medicine at Ohio University and an adjunct associate professor of Family Medicine at The Ohio State University. He is on the board of Rev1 Ventures (formerly TechColumbus), a member of the Ohio Hospital Association’s Clinical Advisory Committee, as well as Franklin University’s Healthcare Management Advisory Board. Bruce Vanderhoff served as a delegate to the Ohio State Medical Association and as a member of the Governor’s Advisory Council on Health Care Payment Innovation. He has authored numerous journal articles and book chapters over the span of his career and is a distinguished teacher and lecturer.
