For the past ten years, Bruce has been an active advisor, mentor and investor to early-stage foodtech companies. Bruce has made a number of investments in foodtech startups, including
Yummly.com, an intelligent recipe search engine, Caviar (trycaviar.com), a curated restaurant delivery service, and Crowdly, a social brand management platform that works with large food companies to help them better engage their Facebook users.
Bruce is also co-founder of The Food Loft, a collaborative community for food and foodtech entrepreneurs based in Boston. The Food Loft provides a range of mentorship, value-added programming and networking to help food startups build and grow their companies. Bruce continues to actively look for early-stage investments in the foodtech space.
Prior to that, Bruce spent over 30 years as the President and Publisher of The Harvard Common Press, one of the leading independent cookbook publishers in the US.
