Bruce is a business architect and an expert at figuring out how businesses work and don’t work. He’s a skilled craftsman at analyzing situations and developing new models, strategies, and approaches to solving business problems and using technology and operations to generate value for existing and evolving markets.
Trained as an architect, he
developed his abstract thinking and reasoning skills using computer-aided design tools in dealing with bricks and mortar spatial puzzles. Seeing the new frontier of information space, he transformed himself into an information architect through working on problems about how people access, think about, and organize information and workflows.
Bruce founded Cyrus Innovation in 2003 to focus exclusively on Agile Software Development methodologies, including Extreme Programming (XP), Scrum, and Lean Software Development. Today, Cyrus Innovation develops complex software solutions for the financial services, education, publishing, and intelligence/security industries.
Outside of work, Bruce is a fitness junkie and is into many sports and activities, including rowing, kayaking, Nordic skiing, biking, triathlon, hiking, Bikram yoga, and saltwater fly fishing. He tries to keep up his fine art architectural skills by attending studio sessions in Soho. And he’s a father of three.
