Bridget Sparrow joined Dow Corning in 1986 as a process engineer at
the company’s manufacturing operations in Barry, UK. She held a
number of engineering roles, including design engineer for the Genesis
Capital Expansion project – a key project in the company’s growth
trajectory. She has also served as supply chain leader for the
Environmental
& Utilities and later Organofunctional areas. In 2000, she
was named the UK HR manager and went on to serve as both
engineering and operations manager for the Barry site.
In 2007, Sparrow relocated to Shanghai and was named HR business
partner for the Third Pillar Expansion project – another key milestone in
the company’s history. She was appointed global director of Finished
Products manufacturing in 2008 and became business vice president for
Finished Products in 2010. In January 2011, she assumed the role of
business vice president for Silicon Intermediates and Core Products
manufacturing.
Sparrow was named chief communications officer in June 2013. In this
role, she brings deep understanding of the complex nature of the
company’s global business combined with demonstrated strategic
capabilities. She is currently based at the corporate headquarters in
Michigan, US.
