Mr. Brian Stemme is a Project Director at BioCrossroads. He also manages BioCrossroadsLINX. Mr. Stemme joined BioCrossroads in 2004. In this capacity, he works to identify and develop collaborations between Indiana's life science companies, research universities, government and private industry. He assists the fund manager in deal sourcing,
diligence and execution of portfolio investments. In addition, Mr. Stemme works on BioCrossroads’ capital formation efforts. He leads Central Indiana Corporate Partnership’s-AgriNovus Indiana. He also serves as a key contributor to BioIntellex, authoring reports on Indiana’s contract drug development, medical device and health information technology sectors. He supports the State’s economic development agency by providing market information to attract and grow life sciences companies in Indiana. Mr. Stemme joined BioCrossroads after working at Eli Lilly and Company in both financial and corporate affairs roles a Senior Associate in the company’s Corporate Affairs group. He also worked as a Financial Analyst in the company’s biotechnology unit and was a member of the team that established Lilly Systems Biology, Ltd. Prior to Eli Lilly, he worked for the Arthur Andersen. He was a Manager in Arthur Andersen’s Assurance practice, providing audit and tax consulting to companies in the energy, software and healthcare industries. Mr. Stemme was the President of alumni association. Mr. Stemme sits on the Board of Muroplex Therapeutics, Algaeon, AgeneBio and Aarden Pharmaceuticals. He serves in a number of volunteer community roles, including the Bloomington Life Sciences Partnership Advisory Board. He was a Member of Butler University’s Board of Trustees. He participates in the Stanley K. Lacy Executive Leadership Series and volunteers as a judge for Purdue University’s Life Sciences Business Plan Competition. In 2002, he was one of 25 Indianapolis leaders selected to participate in the Stanley K. Lacy Executive Leadership Series. Mr. Stemme earned a B.S. in Accounting from Butler University in 1991
