Mr. Muck brings 22 years of selling and business development experience including 9 years in sales program development and management. Before joining Halfpenny, Mr. Muck served as Vice President of Sales - Emerging Markets for Vitera Healthcare Solutions, which acquired the Electronic Medical Record and Practice Management software business from
Sage Healthcare in November, 2011. At Vitera, Brian was responsible for strategic agreements with Regional Extension Centers (REC), State Medical Societies, and Independent Physician Associations (IPA).
He co-chaired a workgroup within the EHR Adoption Community of Practice, which is a collaboration between the Office of the National Coordinator for HIT (ONC) and the HIMSS Electronic Health Record Association (EHRA). Brian also worked closely with Beacon Communities, Quality Improvement Organizations (QIO) and State and Regional Health Information Exchange. Prior to his position as VP Sales - Emerging Markets, Brian was VP Sales - Channel Program.
Previous to working at Vitera, Brian held various positions in sales and sales management at BrainLab, Varian Medical Systems, Edwards Lifesciences, GE Healthcare and Hewlett-Packard. While working with GE Healthcare, Brian built and led multiple sales teams within GE Healthcare IT and GE Healthcare Diagnostic Imaging and was responsible for as much as $75M in annual revenues.
Brian holds a BA in Business Administration/Marketing from Colorado State University and has received sales leadership education from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School, the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and the American Management Association.
