Brian Meshkin is an award-winning technology entrepreneur and executive (Inc. 500 and Deloitte Technology Fast 500) whose life story demonstrates decades of positive contributions to improve the lives of others. Technology CEO of the Year by OCTANe/OC Tech Alliance and an Excellence in Entrepreneurship Award Winner from the Orange County Business Journal. A two-time finalist for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award in Orange County, Brian is a four-time winner of the SmartCEO Magazine Future50 Award Winner. Brian founded Proove Biosciences, co-founded Salugen, and worked for Prometheus Laboratories, Eli Lilly, and Johnson & Johnson. Brian’s passion to reduce or eliminate preventable deaths and illnesses began at 13 years of age, when his friend was killed in front of Brian’s home after being hit by a car while riding his bicycle. Brian wanted to protect other children from such tragedy and he led a student effort to pass the nation’s first bicycle helmet law for children under 16 years of age in 1990 in Howard County, Maryland. He went onto to help pass over 300 similar laws nationwide working with the organization now called Safe Kids Worldwide (formerly National Safe Kids Campaign), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and other leading groups. Brian is a community activist who has served on numerous charitable boards including the local American Red Cross. Between 2010 and 2014, Brian was an elected member of the Board of the Education of Howard County, Maryland.
