Brian Beatty joined JS Held after spending the last 10 years with Madsen, Kneppers & Associates, Inc. (MKA) and nearly 20 years in construction. His specialty has been primarily property loss assessment and estimating, handling projects all across the US and Hawaii.
His experience spans several building types and loss causes; fire, flood,
tornado, earthquake, hurricane, structural failure, accidents and explosions for both private and government projects. He has experience in envelope and exterior defect identification, and overall cost estimating.
Brian has completed building exterior assessment work utilizing drone technology and is a pilot himself.
Prior to MKA he was managing a private airport in north Atlanta undergoing a full-scale renovation. Brian has background experience in FAA and airport regulation and construction standards. His interest in aviation has driven him to build his own aircraft, and when completed he intends to fly for business and pleasure.
Brian holds a M.S. in Real Estate and Construction Management from the University of Denver.
