Mr. Brett G. Wyard served as Managing Director and Co-Head of Carlyle Strategic Partners at The Carlyle Group until 2012. Mr. Wyard was a part of Global Distressed & Corporate Opportunities funds and Global Market Strategies fund segment. He was a part of Global Credit Alternatives team at Los Angeles. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Managing Director at Oaktree Capital Management, LLC, where he was a Senior Member of a team that managed $8.4 billion of invested capital in special situation, distressed debt, and private equity investments. Mr. Wyard additionally managed the opening of the Frankfurt office in 2004 and was deeply involved in the extension of Oaktree’s activities in Europe.

Prior to joining the firm in 1999, he was a Vice President in the Global Special Situations Group at Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner & Smith, Inc., where he focused on proprietary debt investments in distressed and bankrupt situations. From 1994 to 1997, Mr. Wyard was in the Financial Restructuring Group at Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin, where he advised on restructuring and merger and acquisition transactions to both distressed corporations and their creditor constituencies. Prior thereto, he worked at Voyageur Asset Management in investment-grade bond management and Miller & Schroeder Financial in investment banking. Mr. Wyard was on the Board of Directors of Pinnacle Foods. He also served as a Director at NTL Inc. since May 7, 2003 and as a Member of Compensation Committee and Executive Committee. Mr. Wyard received a B.A. in Economics from Boston College.
