Brett Mufson is President and Partner of Fontainebleau Development, where he leads the conception, capitalization, delivery, and operation of large-scale luxury and hospitality destinations. He brings over twenty years of experience in real estate development and investment, with deep expertise at the intersection of real estate, hospitality,
branding, and complex stakeholder environments.
Mufson has played a key role in scaling and repositioning iconic, capital-intensive assets and brings a long-term owner’s perspective grounded in disciplined capital allocation, brand stewardship, and hands-on operational leadership. His background includes leading projects from initial concept through stabilization and long-term operations, aligning development vision with financial performance and guest experience.
Prior to Fontainebleau, he served as Head of Acquisitions and Capital Markets at Witkoff, where he led more than $7 billion in transactions. Earlier in his career, he worked in structured finance at Bear Stearns and later at LoanCore Capital, focusing on commercial real estate credit.
A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Mufson serves on the board of Gibson Avenue Capital and is actively involved with organizations including the Whitney Museum and Mount Sinai Hospital. He is based in Miami, Florida.
