Brent Lorenz, a Managing Director at The McLean Group's headquarters office, provides M&A advisory services to software and engineering services firms. He is the co-leader of The McLean Group's Technology & Telecommunications practice and a member of the Aerospace, Defense & Government M&A practice. He focuses on working
with companies in markets such as Wireless Communications, Internet of Things, Automotive Software, Semiconductor IP, and Signal Processing.
Recent deals include advising Twisted Pair in its acquisition by Motorola Solutions. Prior to joining The McLean Group, Mr. Lorenz had 15 years' experience working in the technology industry for such companies as Texas Instruments, IBM Software Group, and venture capital funded startups. Mr. Lorenz has a long history at embedded software firms including Wind River (acquired by Intel), Telogy Networks (acquired by Texas Instruments) and Trinity Convergence (acquired by Maxim and Freescale).
Mr. Lorenz is a regular contributor to IEEE's The Institute online magazine and Electronic Buyer's News (a sister publication to EE Times), and writes about a variety of technology M&A topics.
