Brad Kates has held the CFO role since January of 2013. He oversees all financial functions of the company, including financial reporting and accounting, human resources, legal, administration and overall day-to-day business operations.
Prior to joining UE, Brad was the Chief Financial Officer of Shopzilla.com, formerly Bizrate.com. Mr. Kates
was responsible for all financial functions of the company, including financial reporting and accounting, investor relations, human resources, legal, administration and overall day-to-day business operations.
Prior to joining BizRate, Mr. Kates held several positions at the Walt Disney Company from 1997-2000. Most recently he served as Director of Disney Auctions. Previously, as Senior Manager of Finance, he oversaw financial activity for the various Disney owned eCommerce entities including: Disney Auctions, the Disneystore.com, DisneyTravel.com, The ESPN Store Online, The NASCAR Store Online, Family.com and ToySmart.com.
Prior to joining the Walt Disney Company's Internet Group, Mr. Kates worked for Business Planning and Development for Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. In this role, he worked on various projects including Disney Cruise Lines and various theme park related initiatives.
Mr. Kates earned his MBA from J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and graduated with a BA in Economics and Philosophy from Emory University.
