Boon Chee is the Head of IoT, leading the team which is part of StarHub’s Emerging Business that scans for emerging technologies and develop new businesses to serve as StarHub’s new growth engine in the digital space. As part of his portfolio, he is responsible to drive the IoT Strategy and bring on board various technologies and IoT solutions that
will address enterprise needs. A veteran in the telecommunications and ICT industry, he held various positions ranging from network operations and planning, product development, marketing, sales to systems integration and project implementations. Amongst the numerous roles, Boon Chee spent most time in the area of new product development and bringing them to market. This involved working with various technology and solution partners, which is fundamental to the building up of the IoT eco-system. Part of his charter in StarHub is to build up this eco-system, which could include forming partnerships, joint ventures or acquiring new technologies, and combining these with the telecommunications assets to generate new sets of solutions, greater insights and intelligence for different verticals and business needs.
