Bob Bentz is Chief Executive Officer of marketing agency Purplegator (https://purplegator.com) located in the Philadelphia area. He is also the president of Advanced Telecom Services (https://advancedtele.com) which provides automated interactive telephony services. Under Bentz's management, Advanced Telecom Services went
from a startup, with no outside financing, to a $62.2 million company with offices in the USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, and Taiwan. Bob is also the minority owner of Advanced Federal (https://advancedfederal.com), a disabled American veteran owned company, which provides marketing solutions to government entities.
Prior companies included Advanced Mobile which was sold to the publicly traded AutoByTel in 2012. Bentz also was an innovator in the online mobile ringtone business which was sold to the publicly traded Zim Corporation of Ottawa, Canada in 2006. The Czech Republic office of Advanced Telecom Services was sold to a company in Poland. The United Kingdom office of Advanced Telecom Services was sold to the London-based management team.
Bob Bentz is also an adjunct professor at West Virginia University where he teaches the graduate level course in Mobile Marketing in the Integrated Marketing Communications program. Prior to teaching at WVU, Bentz was an adjunct at the University of Denver where he taught for five years.
He is the author of three books. His book "Relevance Raises Response" is used as a textbook at several universities. There are two editions of this book (2016 & 2023). He is also the author of "Opportunity is Calling" (1993).
