Professor of machine learning and data science in the Industrial Eng. and Management (IEM) Dept. at Ben-Gurion University, Israel. He holds a BA (Physics & Mathematics), MSc (Electro-Optical Eng.), and PhD (Computer Eng.) from the Hebrew University, Tel-Aviv University, & Ben-Gurion University, respectively. He did his postdoc at Aston

University and Cambridge University (UK).

For many years, Prof. Lerner have been investigating, developing, teaching, and consulting in machine learning and data mining (MLDM). In 2000, he established and have since headed the MLDM Lab in which projects for different agencies/authorities/companies have been undertaken. He has been a reviewer for many journals and conferences and have served on various conference (Senior) PCs. He supervised over 60 graduate students and have published around 120 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings, and has registered 4 patents. Lastly, we appointed to be an Associate Editor of the IEEE Trans. on Artificial Intelligence.

For the past four years Prof. Lerner has collaborated with over a dozens of medical centers and Health Maintenance Organizations on specific digital health, diseases diagnostic and pre-symptomatic phase problematics, that brought him to develop a technology that could solve the drug development challenges to make patients access to innovative treatments earlier.
