As Vice President of Ground Systems, Bill Weiss is responsible for leading the General Dynamics Mission Systems line of business focused on military networks, networked computing and mission command systems, satellite ground systems, training and range solutions and public safety networks.
Weiss is responsible for achieving and maintaining a
leadership position in communication and networking systems for major Department of Defense and government customers. Programs and business efforts under Weiss’ direction include the U.S. Army’s Warfighter Information Network-Tactical (WIN-T), the U.S. Marine Corps Common Aviation Command and Control System (CAC2S), the U.S. Army Range Radar Replacement Program (RRRP), and a portfolio of mission command systems including the U.S. Army’s Command Post of the Future (CPoF) and Tactical Ground Reporting System.
Weiss is a 31-year veteran of General Dynamics Mission Systems and assumed his current responsibilities following significant program achievements in multiple communications and information technology management and engineering positions.
Weiss holds a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering and a Master of Science in Computer Systems Engineering from Boston University.
