Dr. C.Y. Bill Lin is a co-founder of VisualOn, and an expert in video/audio codec optimization and consumer multimedia software. He has extensive experience in building and managing development teams in both US and China. Prior to co-founding VisualOn, he led MedioStream’s entire US development team and was responsible for the MPEG and Digital
Video codec development. His expertise in software and algorithm optimization has made a significant contribution to enhance the codec performance. Dr. Lin also has extensive working experience in the development of optimization algorithms including work with Tera Systems, Southern Company, Auburn University and Georgia Institute of Technology. He holds a Ph.D. degree from School of Electrical & Computer Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology, a master's degree from National Cheng Kung University, and a bachelor's degree from National Taiwan University.
