Bill Hendrich is Executive Vice President of Cox Media Group’s (CMG) of Radio. In this role, he is responsible for programming, operations and sales for CMG’s 59 radio stations in 11 markets.
Previously, Bill was the VP and Market Manager of CMG’s six station radio cluster in Jacksonville, Florida. In this position, Bill oversaw all sales,
programming, digital and business operations for the cluster.
In 1989, Bill moved to Orlando from Mobile, Ala. to join New City Communications as the local sales manager of WWKA FM. He became the General Sales Manager of WWKA FM, AM580 WDBO and WCFB FM prior to being named VP and General Manager in 1996 when Cox Radio purchased the stations. He served as VP and General Manager of CMG's AM580 WDBO and WWKA FM in Orlando for 10 years. He also oversaw the internet sales and operations for CMG Orlando.
Bill is currently on the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Radio Board of Directors and has served as the Chairman of the Florida Association of Broadcasters (FAB). He is a member of the Jacksonville Sports Council and is the Chairman of theTaxslayer.com Bowl Game Operations Committee. Bill is also active with The Players Championship serving on the The Players Council Advisory Board.
He received his BA degree in Marketing from the School of Commerce and Business Administration at the University of Alabama. Bill and his wife Helen have two children, Philip and Jennifer.
