Bill Cotter graduated from St. Joseph’s University in 1965. In 1979 Bill became founder and President of T.A. Title Insurance Company, a title underwriting company. Under Bill’s direction the company grew to operate in seven states as an underwriter and another eight states as a title agency, employing over 175 people. The company was sold to a
Fortune 300 company in 2004. Bill remained the CEO of the holding company that controls the entire T.A. brand until 2007. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of Alliance Bank (Lawrence Park, PA) since 1986; is a member of the Board of Directors of the J.M. Oliver Company; and a Board member of Title Reinsurance Company (Vermont). Bill is now a partner in Title Alliance, Ltd, which develops and administers successful title insurance agencies. Bill joined Robin Hood Ventures in 2007. He and his wife, Jean, are the parents of five children and the grandparents of nine. He and his wife live in Media, PA. He is a member of the Development Committee and the Board of Directors of The Bethesda Project that provides food, shelter and social services for several hundred displaced and homeless men and women in the Philadelphia area.
