Bertram Köhler has been working at DEWB since 2000 and a member of the company’s Management Board since 2005.
He is responsible for investment management, transaction structuring and corporate communications. Before being appointed to the Management Board he was involved in exit transactions as a manager and is familiar with all facets of
the corporate sale through IPOs, mergers and trade sales. These include the stock market flotation of Müller – Die lila Logistik, the investment of micom into Nexus AG and, not least, the sale of OASIS SiliconSystems to Standard Microsystems. He also brought his transaction know-how to bear in complex acquisitions such as e.g. the takeover of the listed Swiss firm of optic ag (2003) and KSW Microtec AG (2006).
After gaining his degree in business administration, Bertram Köhler began his career as a consultant at KPMG where he carried out various M&A projects with transactions in the banking sector. He then worked at the Commerzbank, amongst other things being involved in corporate reorganizations, turnaround projects, implementation of structured financing and M&A projects. Bertram Koehler completed a technical apprenticeship in the optical industry (ZEISS).
