Bert Johnson has represented and advised clients as both outside and in-house legal counsel for over twenty-five years.
Before joining SI-BONE, he served as division general counsel for Medtronic Spinal & Biologics (where he was also Vice President for Business Development), Vice President & Chief Compliance Officer for Kyphon Inc. in
n Sunnyvale, California, and Vice President & Chief Compliance Officer for Chiron Corporation (now Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics) in Emeryville, California.
Prior to entering the healthcare field, Mr. Johnson worked for Sabre Holdings Corporation, where he led all legal services for Sabre and Travelocity’s operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
He also served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Chief Administrative Officer for Sabre’s GetThere L.L.P. division, in Menlo Park, California.
He began his legal career as a commercial litigator at the Houston law firm of Baker Botts L.L.P.
Mr. Johnson earned his Bachelor of Arts degree summa cum laude from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He earned his J.D. from The University of Virginia School of Law.
