Bernard Dufau is a Member of the Board of Directors at Orange since June 2011.
Bernard is French national born in 1941, joined IBM France as an Engineer in 1966, by 1981 he had held a range of marketing and commercial management posts in Paris and elsewhere in France.
A move Stateside followed, as Bernard Dufau was appointed as a Consultant
to the IBM Corporation between 1981 and 1983. Bernard then served as Commercial Director (1983-1988) and General Operations Manager (1988-1993) for IBM France, before his promotion to the position of General Manager of Retail for IBM Europe. From 1 January 1995 to 1 April 2001, Bernard was Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of IBM France.
From July 2001 to December 2005, Bernard worked as a Corporate Strategy Consultant.
A Graduate of the École supérieure d’électricité, Bernard Dufau was formerly Chairman of the Amicale des ingénieurs Supélec (the Engineers’ alumni association of his university).
