A Teamster for more than two decades, Becky Strzechowski started her career at Local 727 when she was hired for a clerical position as a teenager. She was eventually elected as Vice President of Local 727, the first female to hold this position.
Prior to the formation of Local 700, Becky was appointed by General President James P. Hoffa to
serve as the Assistant Trustee of Teamsters Local 714. In December 2009, Becky became the Trustee of Local 726. She is the Director of the Teamsters Women’s Conference and a founding member of the Teamsters Joint Council 25 Women’s Committee.
In August 2014, Becky was unanimously appointed to serve as trustee on the Teamsters Joint Council 25 Executive Board. She was elected Secretary-Treasurer of Local 700 in 2011 and was appointed as Local 700 President in 2012. Becky has continued to serve as Local 700 President after being elected in December 2014 to serve a five-year term.
