Bart J. Margiotta graduated from St. Louis Priory in 1965. After graduation he attended St. Joseph’s College, earning a Bachelor of Science in Math in 1969. He also attended St. Louis University and Chicago University graduate schools. From August 1969 to August 1978, Mr. Margiotta taught and coached at St. Louis Priory. At present, Mr. Margiotta
has over 42 years of experience in real estate management, leasing, construction management, and development. Mr. Margiotta is a Certified Property Manager (CPM) with the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), and a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers. He has been awarded the prestigious ACCREDITED MANGEMENT ORGANIZATION® (AMO®) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management, and has been awarded St. Louis’ Property Management Firm of the Year from the National Association of Realtors (NAR). In July of 1999, Mr. Margiotta resigned a position with Regency Realty as General Manager of Midwest Operations where he was responsible for the management and leasing of 65 Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) centers representing 7 million square feet of retail spaces. Regency Realty acquired Midland Group in March of 1998, where Mr. Margiotta was Senior Vice President of Management. He subsequently founded Priority Properties, LLC in August 1999, and has developed a management portfolio of 4.2 million square feet of shopping centers throughout the Midwest. The company has offices in St. Louis and Cincinnati. Mr. Margiotta strives to be an active member of the community. He was previously on the Development Board of Cardinal Glennon Hospital, was a member of the Board of Trustees for the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and worked on “game days” for the St. Louis Cardinals and former St. Louis Rams as Chief Statistician. He is also a past President of St. Louis Priory Alumni Association, and has served on the Board of the Incarnate Word Foundation of St. Louis. Mr. Margiotta has also served 9 years as a member of the Planning and Zoning Commission for St. Louis County. He also currently serves on the Advisory Board for UMB Bank. Mr. Margiotta holds a real estate license in Missouri. He has been married to Dorothea A. Brodhead-Margiotta for 50 years and has two sons, Michael (Priory class of 1992), and Andrew (Priory class of 1993). He is also a proud grandfather of Michael Jr. (Priory class of 2021), Ryan (Priory class of 2023), and Tommy. He is an avid Cardinals fan, and enjoys golfing and the outdoors.
