Barry Coetzee has worked at CMC Networking for eight years where he is responsible for growing the Middle East region into the highest profit centre for the company. For him, even war-torn Iraq needs to be accessible to the outside community and networks need to be maintained and diversified to other regions.
His knowledge of the Middle East
region is substantial; but not only from a telecommunications perspective. Barry has a post-graduate degree in botanical horticulture from Kew Horticulture in London. He has used this knowledge and experience while working for the Desert Group Dubai and subsidiaries, and for the Seychelles environment ministry. His horticultural expertise has been recognised with numerous awards in this field.
Barry is married to and his hobby is nature conservation. He does admit he might just be the company’s worst possible golfer but he also enjoys being outdoors on the greens.
