Since joining The Glover Park Group, Audrey Cooling has led high-stakes public affairs and marketing programs for a wide range of clients, including major brands in the health care, technology and media sectors. Audrey’s work on some of the firm’s largest integrated accounts has helped our clients influence public policy, build coalitions, navigate
antitrust litigation and corporate mergers, respond to crises and improve their reputation among opinion leaders.
In the 2008 election cycle, Audrey took a leave from GPG to join Senator John Edwards’ presidential campaign as director of communications planning, where she managed the roll-out of major campaign announcements, endorsements and special events, including the three-day, eight-city “Road to One America” anti-poverty tour in July 2007.
Prior to joining GPG, Audrey spent two years in the DC bureau of The Wall Street Journal as reporting assistant to Washington Editor Al Hunt, where she researched and edited Hunt’s weekly “Politics & People” opinion column, worked closely with CNN and CNBC producers and frequently contributed to the paper’s online coverage of the 2004 elections.
Early in her career, Audrey helped develop targeted direct mail campaigns, worked in public opinion research and served as a deputy press secretary to Georgia’s lieutenant governor.A graduate of the University of Georgia, Audrey and her husband recently moved to her hometown of Savannah, Georgia, where they live with their young daughter and a rescue dog named Lucy.
