I am an entrepreneur and continually take on new challenges, having demonstrated experience in:
a) Entrepreneurship and project/team management, having founded two successful businesses dedicated to helping scientists write and publish scientific articles – BioPub and WriteWise; b) Building long-term business relationships with clients and
users, having a satisfaction and retention rate over 90%; c) Organization, critical thinking, problem solving, and focusing on details, making me an extremely valuable asset for any company.
I also have vast experience with scientific articles - including writing, editing, and translating (Spanish to English) texts. I have:
1) Over seven years of experience in editing scientific texts; 2) Edited and translated over 1000 scientific texts, including scientific articles, protocols, theses, books, grants, and websites, with particular emphasis on diverse areas of the life sciences (e.g., ecology to molecular biology); 3) Advised, guided, and helped dozens of researchers and students to write better and clearly communicate their science; 4) Trained and taught the fundamentals of scientific writing in English to over 800 researchers.
Before founding BioPub and WriteWise, I gained sales, client service, operations, and business analysis experience in Chile and the USA in companies such as Ernst & Young, Business News Americas, and Enterprise. In the near future, I aim to enroll in a Master of Business Administration program to refine and strengthen the skills I have gained through on-the-job experience and to fully prepare myself to take on managerial roles in mid- to large-sized organizations.
