Aruna has over 15 years of experience in corporate finance and impact investing. She joined OGCI Climate Investments (OGCI) as Ventures Principal in 2018 to invest in technologies that can significantly lower the carbon footprints of the energy and industrial sectors and their value chains. Prior to OGCI, Aruna spent 7 years at the Soros Economic
Development Fund, based in New York, Johannesburg and West Africa, underwriting early stage and growth equity investments in key sectors of the economy with sustainability and job creation as priorities. Aruna started her career in investment banking, first at Credit Suisse, in the Global Energy Group where she focused on the utilities and power sector, then in the Leveraged Finance Origination and Restructuring Group. She was an investment banking associate at Moelis & Company advising on mergers and acquisitions and restructuring transactions. Aruna has a BCom with First Class Honors in Economics and Finance from McGill University and an MBA from INSEAD.
