Raised in a nurturing
environment that valued discipline and academic focus, Eliasson excelled early on, graduating from Springbrook High School in 2006, where he led as captain of both the Cross Country and Swim teams. His involvement extended to active participation in his local church, where he engaged in numerous community service projects aimed at aiding the less fortunate.
Post-high school, he attended Montgomery College in Maryland, benefiting from the Montgomery Scholars Program. This prestigious scholarship enabled him to study abroad at Cambridge University and partake in a scholarly tour of China, broadening his academic horizons. He later transferred to Johns Hopkins University, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, specializing in Latin American Studies, in 2010.
Eliasson began his professional journey in Baltimore, Maryland, as a bicycle messenger, during which he founded Epic Couriers LLC. His leadership drove the company to success, and though he eventually sold it, his entrepreneurial spirit continued to shine. His commitment to service led him to volunteer and subsequently work full-time at the Shepherd's Clinic for the Uninsured in Baltimore.
His path to medicine was catalyzed at Goucher College in Towson, Maryland, where he completed the prerequisites for medical school. This led to his acceptance into the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) in Bethesda, Maryland. In 2018, he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Army, embarking on his medical career. His training included rotations at various Military Treatment Facilities across the nation, enhancing both his medical and leadership skills.
While at USUHS, he was a platoon leader and participated in Operation Bushmaster, a rigorous exercise that provided extensive training in combat casualty and trauma medicine. He graduated in 2022 and was selected for the Psychiatry Residency at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center.
Outside of his professional commitments, he enjoys a fulfilling personal life. He married his wife, who was also a physician, in 2022, and they welcomed their first child in 2024. They reside in the Texas hill country, enjoying a variety of activities together. He is passionate about hiking, having traversed the Appalachian Trail and completed significant pilgrimages in Spain. Additionally, he enjoys tabletop games, cooking with a wok, and the art of fermenting foods like sauerkraut and kombucha. Arne H.
