Ariel Duncan is an M.S. student in Human-Centered Design and Engineering at the University of Washington. In past lives, she's been a teacher, a consultant and a history PhD. She gathered this panel together because she wants to understand how new ways of measuring affect will shape the user research of the future. Ariel believes we think with
our bodies and is fascinated with all attempts to understand emotion and the ways it resides in our bodies. She holds an M.A. in the History of Science from Columbia University. Before returning to school, Ariel designed experiences for people living in a closed dementia unit. Recently, Ariel interned at Samsung Research America's Mobile Innovation Lab in Mountain View, California as a user research intern.
