Ms. Floyd is a Senior Accountant with Syncom Venture Partners. Her primary responsibilities include assisting the CFO in managing financial systems, budgets, financial reporting, data analysis, cash management and tax related matters. In addition Ms Floyd is directly responsible for managing the accounts payable and company payroll functions.
Prior to joining Syncom Venture Partners, Ms. Floyd was a staff accountant in the Business Development division of Walker & Company, LLP. (a Assurance, Business and Advisory Services company). In this role, Ms. Floyd offered on-going accounting services to multiple clients ranging from small to medium size non-profit organizations. Prior to Walker & Company, Ms. Floyd held the positions of General Manager at The Gap, Inc. and Store Manager at BEBE Stores, Inc. She brings over 12 years of leadership and business management experience overseeing stores with revenues ranging from $2 to $6 million and direct reports of up to 7 managers and 100 employees. Responsibilities included recruiting, interviewing and training of management candidates at the district level.
April is a graduate of University of the District of Columbia, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting (Summa Cum Laude) and an Associate degree in Applied Science in Computer Accounting Technology. She is the recipient of the University’s Highest Honors award from the School of Business and Public Administration.
