Antonio Forenza has over 15 years of experience in the wireless industry and academia. As Co-founder and Principal Scientist at Artemis, he is responsible for designing system architecture, producing intellectual property and leading the core team in R&D and deployment of pCellTM technology. Prior to his current position, Antonio served as
Co-founder and Principal Scientist at Rearden Labs from 2005 to 2014. At Rearden Labs he was responsible for the conception, prototyping and development of pCellTM technology since its early stages.
From 2000 to 2005 Antonio held various systems engineering and intern positions internationally, as part of core R&D and design teams in different wireless companies including Samsung SAIT, Suwon, Korea (MIMO communications in the LTE standard), Freescale Semiconductor, Inc., Austin, TX (MIMO algorithm design for WiMAX systems), ArrayComm, San Jose, CA (smart antenna technology for WCDMA systems), Iospan Wireless, San Jose, CA (first commercial MIMO-OFDM communication system), Accenture, Madrid, Spain. Antonio holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
He earned an MS degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Politecnico di Torino (Italy) and specialization in Mobile Communications from Institut Eurécom (Sophia Antipolis, France). He holds 13 US patents, has over 30 international IEEE publications and made significant contributions to the IEEE 802.11n (WiFi) and LTE standards.
