With a M.S. in Statistics and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, Anna began her career as an actuarial student for Safeco Life. From there she went to work for Safeco Financial Products managing a credit derivatives portfolio and explored ways to augment traditional corporate credit analysis with quantitative credit models.
After
Safeco she joined Washington Mutual’s Asset Liability Management team as a quantitative researcher, building forecasting tools for the more complex components of the balance sheet.
From there she joined Washington Mutual’s investment team where she was tasked with enhancing the team’s analytical capabilities, with an opportunity to work with the technology team on ways to link and augment analytical and data warehouse systems to better leverage data resources.
