Andy Welch is a successful entrepreneur who has been involved in a wide variety of industries including agriculture, oil exploration, food service, manufacturing, and real estate.
Mr. Welch’s early career was focused in his home state of California until 1983 when he formed a real estate development company in Seattle, Washington. This company
grew to be one of the largest multi-family development and construction companies in the region.
In 1999 he became concerned about the lack of affordable housing for families with incomes less than 50% of the median. As a result, he formed operations in Colorado, Texas, and Arizona focused on the development and construction of affordable housing for low-income families. This focus continued after witnessing housing conditions and the need for affordable housing in Eastern Europe during a trip there in 2002. Shortly thereafter he formed the Aston Group - a building and development firm with headquarters in Ekaterinburg, Russia. Although the company was sold in 2009, Mr. Welch continues to work on development projects in the region.
Mr. Welch holds a BS degree from California State University, Sacramento and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
